Don't just be a cog!

What can you do?

  • Join a Union
  • Get Involved/Attend Meetings
  • Volunteer for a Committee
  • Organize Labor events
  • Contact your local politicians about issues that affect your Union

There are many reasons that your Union can help make your work life better - but it starts with you. The Union wasn't started by any company or politician.

The Union was started by workers who were treated poorly, paid poorly and tossed aside when they got sick. You may think those things don't happen today, but they still do. If you are lucky enough to already be covered by a union contract, don't take it for granted.

There are many forces out there who are using their vast wealth to influence courts and politicians to abolish the small gains your past union members have made for you. It has been happening state by state. Don't let it happen to yours. Get involved and protect what you have, or you'll lose it!
